Designing conduit sabo dam series as a debris flow protection structure

A high potential area for landslides was identified upstream of the Air Beras River on Bukit Beriti Besar which feared to generate debris flow through River. One preventive efforts that can be conducted is sabo dam. This study aims design a series conduit dams and evaluate structure stability according SNI 2851:2015 Technical Standards Guidelines Planning Design Sabo Structures (JICA, 2010). By using discharge 120 m3/s, velocity 5.06 m/s, inclination riverbed around 6.16°, spillway height Dam 1 determined 3 m, while 2 m. The has 10 m width 30 with total manageable volume 49,600 m3 45 91,500 m3. safety factors dam in condition were 2.14 overturning, 1.50 sliding, 5.74 bearing capacity. Based result, effectively controls destructive power flow.
